Our Attorneys
Dwight is a lifelong resident of Oxford and attended The Oxford School System for twelve years. He earned his undergraduate degree in 1980 from the University of Alabama and is a 1983 graduate of Cumberland Law School.
Dwight began his legal career with the firm of Phillips and Rice in Anniston in 1983. In 1988 he and Bruce formed the firm of Rice and Rice and located in their home town of Oxford. The firm outgrew its initial location and in 1994 constructed the building on Choccolocco Street where the firm is currently located.
He is a member of the Alabama Bar Association and Calhoun County Bar Association. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cheaha Bank, a community bank formed in 2000 with its headquarters in Oxford. He has served as board attorney to the Calhoun County Homebuilders Association. He is a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Oxford.

Bruce Rice

Bruce has been in the active practice of law in the Oxford area since his graduation from Cumberland Law School in 1979 and currently serves in an of counsel role. He attended The Oxford School System for twelve years and his undergraduate degree is from the University of Alabama.
Immediately upon graduation from law school and admission into the bar in 1979 he began working with John Phillips and was a member of the firm of Phillips and Rice until 1988 when he and his brother Dwight formed a law practice in Oxford.
He is married to Renee Hicks Rice and has three daughters; Brigitte Ashley, Marilyn Burke & Cheyenne Rice.
He is a member of the Alabama Bar Association, Calhoun County Bar Association and Local Inns of Court Chapter. He has served as board attorney for both the Calhoun County Homebuilders Association and the Calhoun County Board of Realtors and has been active in various other civic organizations. He is an active long time member of First Baptist Church of Oxford and is extremely proud to call this community home.
